MDF is a smooth, stable sheet material that paints extremely well.
Best for: painted cabinet doors, interior panels, mouldings (where appropriate), and templates.
Watch-outs: swells with water, edges are fragile, and dust is fine—use extraction and a good mask.
Workability
Machines cleanly but blunts cutters.
Pre-drill for fixings. Seal edges before painting.
